Rock the riverbank
There’s one slot left for an awesome band — but you’ve gotta play your way into it by winning Rock the Riverbank!
The inaugural Rock the Riverbank competition will be held at Horan’s Landing in Sleepy Hollow on Saturday, May 3 (rain date May 4), from 1-5pm. The competition takes place on an outdoor stage along the Hudson River. The winner of Rock the Riverbank will Headline the Regional Stage at the second annual Sleepy Hollow Music Festival on Saturday, June 7, 2025!
PRIZES: In addition to headlining the Regional Stage at SHMF 2025, the winner will receive a professionally-produced, custom, Digital Video Media Kit from Factory Underground; a one-day recording session with Grammy-Nominated producer Steve Addabbo (Suzanne Vega) at Shelter Island Sound; and a cash prize.
PROCESS: If you’d like your band to be considered for Rock the Riverbank, please fill in the form below and submit your $25 non-refundable entry fee following the instructions below. From these submissions, our panel of judges will select five bands to compete at Rock the Riverbank of Saturday, May 3, which will be an official Road to Sleepy Hollow Music Festival event open to the public. We’re expecting over 1,000 people in attendance over the course of the day.
BAND / ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: We accept bands or artists from any genre or style of music. There is no age minimum or maximum. While we will take a listen to tribute bands, we are more likely to select bands that play original material as well. Singer-songwriters and solo artists are eligible. Since this band will headline the Regional Stage, your band must have at least one member from the tristate area.
COMPETITION: At the Rock the Riverbank competition, each band will have 20 minutes to perform in front of the audience and our panel of judges, made up of industry professionals. Backline and professional sound crew will be provided. The winner will be determined by panel votes.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Submissions close Monday, April 21 at 11:59 PM EST. Selected bands are announced Friday, April 25.
